Our Nurses
Elaine Nelson
I have been in the nursing profession for seventeen years now and during that time I have worked in various hospital and community based settings in both the NHS and private sector.
I was employed as a Community Nurse, providing medical, post operative, chronic disease management and terminal care to patients predominantly registered at this surgery but within their own homes.
After leaving the Community Nurse setting I joined the North End medical Centre as one of two Senior Practice Nurses and I have been working here for nearly six years now. I have developed a special interest in the areas of General disease management, Child health/immunisations, Travel health, and Wound management.
My main area of interest is in Diabetes management and I currently hold a diabetes clinic with a General Practitioner here at the surgery every Thursday afternoon, which I find thoroughly enjoyable and very rewarding.

Over time, I have developed a specialist interest in Primary Care and education, gaining specialist qualifications in: Teaching and Assessing; Reproductive and Sexual Health; Respiratory Medicine; Travel and Tropical Medicine; Smoking Cessation and
